8th Annual Charity Golf Classic
2006 marked the celebration of our 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic held on September 6 & 7, 2006 at The Players Club in Virginia Beach, VA. This event, coupled with our inaugural Diamonds in the Sky Gala, raised $350,000 to help children.
The Golf Classic began in 1999, when we raised $10,000 our first year to grant the wish of a little girl named Julie who wanted to go to Disney World. Since that time, Chartway Federal Credit Union and its We Promise Foundation have raised more than $1.2 million dollars put smiles on the faces of 240 children.
